Driving your own car to a new city sounds simple, until you add up the fuel, tolls, time off work and fatigue – especially on routes like Trichy to Bangalore, Hyderabad or Mumbai. Car transportation lets you travel separately while the car is moved for you.
Documents to keep ready
- Copy of the Registration Certificate (RC)
- Copy of the valid insurance policy
- ID proof of the owner
- Pickup and delivery addresses with contact numbers
Preparing your car
- Remove personal belongings, documents and valuables.
- Remove detachable accessories such as music systems or roof carriers, if possible.
- Keep the fuel level low.
- Wash the car so existing scratches and dents are easy to see.
- Check tyre pressure and battery.
At pickup
Walk around the car with the transport team and note its condition, including existing marks. Photographs from all sides with a date are helpful. Note the odometer reading.
At delivery
Inspect the car in daylight if possible, compare with your pickup photos and note any concern before signing the delivery receipt.
